Duke star Zion Williamson reportedly met with the New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies in Chicago. The two teams hold the top two picks in the upcoming draft.
According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the presumptive number one overall pick had a “positive meeting” with New Orleans. He also revealed that Williamson views the Pelicans as a good team to start his NBA career with.

What else is Zion supposed to say? If he wants to play in the NBA he’s going to end up on a bad team to start his career no matter what.
New Orleans isn’t the best place to go and nobody would blame him if he went back to Duke, but he’ll be in the same boat next season. He might as well get the clock started towards his second contract.
