President Trump uninviting the Eagles from their Super Bowl White House visit has sparked plenty of controversy. Piling on has been the President’s pals at FOX News, who took it a little too far with one of their tweets.
The tweet contained footage that suggested the Philadelphia Eagles kneeled during the National Anthem last season. They did not.
While they do support the right to, nobody on the Eagles actually took a knee during the anthem. The footage used was actually of Eagles players praying and none of the praying took place during the anthem.
A fact Eagles tight end Zach Ertz pointed out in response to the tweet. After being called out by the Super Bowl champ, FOX deleted the tweet.
This can’t be serious…. Praying before games with my teammates, well before the anthem, is being used for your propaganda?! Just sad, I feel like you guys should have to be better than this… https://t.co/kYeyH2zXdK
