Yoenis Cespedes, who is recovering from heel surgery, suffered multiple ankle fractures after a violent fall at his Florida ranch over the weekend. The latest injury likely ended his season, which was already in jeopardy.
Mets general manager Brodie Van Wagenen broke the news during a press conference on Monday. Cespedes is in New York to have his ankle looked at.

Another bizarre baseball injury to add to the list. However Cespedes was injured, it probably happened as the result of something he wasn’t supposed to be doing.
