The White Sox signing might have seemed random to some baseball fans, but not a couple of Cubs fans who called the move back in June.
Shortly after the deal was announced a video began circulating of the Cubs fans talking to Grandal about joining the White Sox while he was in the on deck circle.
Grandal responded to their prediction that he was going to get paid a lot of money by the White Sox by saying, “hopefully.”
