Outfielder Yasiel Puig arrived in Cincinnati on Wednesday for his introductory press conference as one of the Reds newest additions. He’s excited about the his new opportunity with the Reds.

Looking at a snow-covered field at Great American Ball Park, Puig said he’s a little excited – he emphasized “little” – about how much damage he could do next season. He knows people are expecting a lot of home runs.
“I can’t come here looking to hit homers, you know,” he said. “I’m coming here to play my game and try to hit a line drive or put the ball in play. (If) the ball is out of the park, it’s better for me, but when you start looking for big home runs or hitting far away, things aren’t going as good as you expect.”
Puig’s visit to his new team happened to take place while the city was being hit with a Polar Vortex. But he wasn’t affected by it at all.
Puig claims the below zero temperatures aren’t that cold and reminded everyone that “everything’s going to be fine.”
