Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres hit his 24th home run against the Red Sox on Saturday. It was a record breaker in more ways than on.
Torres’ 4th inning two-run shot set the single season record for home runs by a team. It was also the 20th homer hit by a 9th place hitter in their lineup, making the Yankees the first team to hit 20 or more home runs from every spot in the lineup.
