Newly acquired Yankees pitcher J.A. Happ was sent home on Tuesday with hand, foot and mouth disease.
Happ is the second MLB pitcher to be sent home with the disease. Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard came down with the illness a little over a week ago.
The illness could mean that Happ will miss his scheduled start against the Red Sox on Saturday in Fenway.

This begs the question, are the Red Sox behind this illness? It’s not that common of an illness, especially for more than one MLB pitcher to contract in a matter of days.
