Yankees pitcher Domingo German will not pitch again this season. He was placed on administrative leave by Major League Baseball on Thursday for a domestic violence incident. It was reported on Friday that his season was over.
Details of the incident have come out and apparently the Yankees promising right-hander slapped his girlfriend in front of an official from the Commissioner’s office at C.C. Sabathia’s LegaCCy Gala on Monday night.
This incident will cost him the rest of the season, including the postseason. That’s a good thing. If he’s willing to slap his girlfriend in front of an official from the Commissioner’s office, imagine what he does when nobody is around.
