Edwin Encarnacion was in New York for his first game in pinstripes on Monday night.  The Mariners traded the American League leader in home runs to the Yankees over the weekend.

The home crowd welcomed the new addition to the middle of the lineup with a standing ovation.  Unfortunately he didn’t get a chance to show off his power.

Encarnacion’s first at-bat in the Bronx ended with a strikeout.

If Encarnacion keeps that up, those cheers will quickly turn to boos.  The fans in the Bronx can turn on you in a hurry if you aren’t producing.
