On Wednesday Ken Rosenthal ruffled some feathers when he reported that Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman planned to opt out of his contract after the season.
Rosenthal claims a player close to Chapman told him there was a “one million percent” chance the flamethrower will opt out.

Chapman signed a five-year, $86 million deal with the Yankees in 2017 and has the ability to opt out after the season. The move could earn the closer a few million more with a new deal.
According to Chapman, the reports are false and he took to Instagram to officially issue a denial.
