West Virginia’s Logan Routt was ejected from Monday night’s 31-point loss to Texas Tech for tripping a player from the bench.  Texas Tech’s Matt Mooney ended up in the the WVU bench after flying by a Mountaineers three point attempt.  

When Mooney attempted to run back down the court, Routt wrapped his legs around him and tripped him.

Was it a dirty play?  Probably, but anything goes on the bench.  You can’t land on someone’s lap and expect them to not pull your pants or trip you.  

That’s just part of the game.

It’s not like Routt tripped a player on the court.  What happens on the bench, stays on the bench.
