Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is the Major Leagues because of his outstanding bat, but on Tuesday night the Blue Jays top prospect flashed some leather.
The 20-year-old made a diving stop on a ball hit between him and the shortstop, he then popped up and fired a strike to first.

The play wasn’t enough for Toronto to come away with the win, but the Blue Jays aren’t really playing for wins these days. They’re playing for entertainment value and it looks like Vlad Jr. is going to be able to provide plenty of that.
We already knew about the bat, if he can flash leather like he did on Tuesday night on a consistent basis then his defense might become appointment television as well.
