The investigation into Urban Meyer’s handling of domestic violence accusations against assistant coach Zach Smith has reportedly been completed. There is a meeting with the board of trustees scheduled for Wednesday morning, with an announcement on a punishment to come shortly after.
The Columbus Dispatch is reporting that the investigators will likely recommend a suspension for Meyer. He’s been on paid administrative leave since Aug. 1st and is pushing to get any suspension turned into “time served.”

Urban Meyer pushing back hard against even a short suspension. Both AD and President politically weaker than public thinks. Messaging I'm hearing floated in response to the likely backlash is that Meyer has already been punished by "time served."— RJ Bell (@RJinVegas) August 21, 2018
What a dick. If he didn’t handle the situation properly, which you have to assume is the finding, since a suspension is likely to be recommended, then Meyer needs to, at a minimum miss multiple games.
No way is this a time served kind of situation. We all knew that Ohio State wouldn’t have the balls to fire him. But if they cave on this and give him a time served punishment then they’re more of a joke than we previously thought.
