With just 20 seconds left in the fight, UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis delivered a vicious right hand to knockout Alexander Volkov. Thankfully the KO saved him from taking a loss, because he delivered an all-time post-fight interview.
After the fight Lewis took off his pants and Joe Rogan opened up the interview by asking him about that.
Lewis replied, “Because my balls were hot.”
He went on from there and delivered an instant classic:
“I told them boys that I’ve got nothing but heart. They keep underestimating me and, sh*t, I’m not all that technical and all that but I’m getting there.”
“I forgot that a few hours before the fight, Donald Trump called me and told me to knock this Russian motherf*cker out because they’re making him look bad on the news.”
Lewis revealed that he isn’t quite ready for a title shot just yet. Because he needs to work on his cardio.
“I need to sit my black ass down and do some more cardio, f*ck what you’re talking about right now. I ain’t trying to fight for no title right now, not with no gas tank like that.”
