Former UFC fighter Rodrigo de Lima (9-3-1) was killed Sunday following an argument with a rideshare driver in the city of Belém, Brazil.
According to the authorities, de Lima argued with the driver and left his car. For unknown reasons, the man, later identified as Jefferson Roger Maciel, hit de Lima from behind and left the scene.

The police are currently searching for Maciel.
De Lima was married and had two children.
De Lima was known as “Monstro” (which translates to “Monster” in Portuguese) in MMA and got to the UFC shortly after winning the Jungle Fight in the welterweight division.
He fought twice, losing both times, against Neil Magny and Efrain Escudero in 2014 and 2015, respectively. His last fight was against Luiz Fabiano in the co-main event of the Shooto Brazil 85 last June. He won via submission.
