Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant took a fastball to the head in the top of the first inning against the Rockies. It’s the second time this series he’s been hit with a pitch.
Although the Rockies pitcher immediately looked like he regretted the pitch, Cubs coaches Chili Davis and Andy Haines weren’t happy. They voiced that unhappiness and threw coffee at the umpires before being told to hit the showers.
It doesn’t look good for Bryant. He had to be helped to the locker room to get checked out. Expect him to be out of the lineup for a few games.
