An interview with Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s family appeared during ESPN’s College GameDay ahead of the SEC Championship Game against Georgia. During the interview, Tua admitted his father used to use a belt and “other things” on him if he didn’t play well.
That didn’t just go for his football either. He would also get the belt if his grades didn’t meet expectations. Tua and the rest of the Tagovailoa family seem to think abusing your children because of their athletic performance is a completely normal thing to do.

A very bizarre part of the interview to leave in, especially if it’s a piece to paint the Tagovailoas in a good light. Let’s hope Alabama wins on Saturday, there’s no telling what the punishment would be for losing a college game.
