In the second quarter of Alabama’s 38-7 win over Mississippi State, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa went down with a hip injury and a nosebleed. He would have to be carted off the field.
Reports are that Tua was taken by helicopter to St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Birmingham. There aren’t any details on the hip injury just yet, but it doesn’t sound good at all.
Rumors that Tua was taken by life flight were false. He was flown to St. Vincent’s because that’s where Dr. Andrews handles his orthopedics.
