Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa left Saturday’s game against Mississippi State on a cart after taking a hit that knocked his helmet off.
The injury happened on the very next series after he lobbied to stay in the 35-7 game. Head coach Nick Saban had the backup quarterback ready to go before Tua convinced him to stay in the game.
After the hit Alabama’s star quarterback was on his hands and knees without his helmet on. He was bleeding from his face and was unable to put any weight on his right leg.
Early reports are that the leg injury is his hip and not his ankle.
