The Cleveland Indians announced that Corey Kluber would be the Opening Day starter this year. This move was rumored to have upset fellow pitcher Trevor Bauer.
On Saturday night, the outspoken right-hander called out Indians beat writer Paul Hoynes for saying he wasn’t happy about Kluber being named the Opening Day starter.
Bauer called Hoynes “extremely dishonest” and his article “clickbait bs.” He went on and said he was happy for Kluber and he “100% deserves” the start.
You’re extremely dishonest Paul. For everyone else out there who wants the real story instead of this desperate clickbait BS, I’m not mad at all about Klubes pitching opening day. I’m happy for him. He 100% deserves it. https://t.co/WcyxoQdqPC

Trevor Bauer isn’t one of the guys you want to be at odds with. He’s going to call you out on social media and will probably do so the next time he sees Hoynes in person.
Unless you’re looking for a battle, Bauer’s not the one, especially if what you’re saying isn’t true.
