Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green both signed elsewhere after leading the Toronto Raptors to their first ever NBA title. Leonard is headed to the Clippers and Green to the Lakers.
After news of their departures, Raptors released a statement through team president Masai Ujiri and dropped a video highlight reel recapping the duo’s championship season in Toronto.

When they traded for the two Spurs teammates the Raptors knew a one-and-done season was a possibility. It was a risk they were willing to take and while they lost them both to free agency, it was well worth it. The game is all about winning after all.
