As Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski lined up for an earlier field goal, Jim Nantz pointed out that there were no missed field goals all season in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.  Pointing that fact out jinxed Gostkowski and he missed the field goal attempt.

More impressive than Nantz’s jinxing ability was Tony Romo taking his prediction skills to an all new level.  That’s right, the former Cowboy called the Nantz jinx.

Gostkowski would get a shot at redemption later in the first half and make his second kick.  But the damage had already been done by the broadcast booth.
