Hall of Fame manager Tony La Russa, who twice was Harold Baines’ manager, was one of the 16 members of the Today’s Game committee that elected Baines and Lee Smith on Sunday to the Hall of Fame.
La Russa was on the MLB Network on Wednesday defending Baines’ election. He went on a NSFW rant calling arguments against the election, “weak-a** superficial bullsh*t.”
Behold Tony La Russa beclowning himself by going on MLB Network and saying that the arguments against Harold Baines being in the Hall of Fame are “weak-ass superficial bullshit.” I would gladly have that confrontation/debate with someone whose best argument is game-winning RBIs. pic.twitter.com/Wa2hRzdxhE

Hey Tony, any other of your former players you want to help get into the hall? Maybe Walt Weiss? Didn’t he win the rookie of the year award?
It would probably be a good idea to have him sit out on voting for players he used to manage. Just saying.
