This week during a live interview with Jim Gray at the Milken Institute’s Global Conference in Los Angeles, Brady appeared to change his tune on his public response to players kneeling.
“You have to have respect for everyone’s opinions,” Brady told Gray when asked about players kneeling. “Sports for me has been the most unifying part of my life. Never forget that.”
Tom usually stays away from this kind of thing, and the fact that he acknowledged that the people kneeling deserves respect is another step from the Patriots organization in moving away from his relationship with Trump.
I think Tom realized his political takes are bad for business. No one wants to buy anything from a MAGA supporter. Or at least some people won’t. This is why Michael Jordan once famously said Republicans buy sneakers too. Tom should take some tips from the Greater GOAT.
