Tom Brady made headlines over the weekend telling Oprah his retirement would come “sooner rather than later.” This got everyone throughout the world all hot and bothered. 

Of course that lead to much speculation as to when Tom will actually hang it up. When he’s 45 years old? How bout next season? What the hell Tommy, why did you say that to Oprah? 

Brady, a social media King, playfully commented on an ESPN Instagram post about the speculation, hinting his original timeline for retirement plans hasn’t changed.

Brady turns 41 on Aug. 3rd. If he plays through his age-45 season, he has five years left to go. I hope he can make it, but the odds are against it. Father time remains undefeated.
