Toledo defensive lineman Terrance Taylor did just about everything wrong on this play and was ejected from Wednesday night’s game against Northern Illinois for it.
Northern Illinois quarterback Ross Bowers took off running with the ball before slipping and falling to the turf. He ended up on his knees facing his own end zone.
Bowers was down and the play should have been over. But it wasn’t over for Taylor, who proceeded to lay a big time helmet-to-helmet late hit on the completely defenseless quarterback.
Bowers seemed to be okay after the hit and Taylor was ejected for the blatant cheap shot.
