The Titans looked like they were headed for a lost season in 2019. Their young franchise quarterback, Marcus Mariota, was struggling and after Week 6 they were 2-4. In stepped backup Ryan Tannehill, who went 7-3 as the starter, and carried Tennessee to the postseason.
Tannehill went 13-of-20 for 198 yards and two touchdowns in Week 17 to beat the Texans, earn a Wild Card spot and secure the NFL’s highest passer rating for the season.
