“I didn’t give our guys a chance to make plays,” Mariota said. “I’ve got to play better, I’ve got to give our guys opportunities to make plays.”
Mariota also said it’s up to the coaches who starts moving forward.
“Things happen for a reason,” Mariota said. “I truly believe that. I can learn from this and grow from this and become a better player. If they call my number I’m gonna be ready to go.”
Mariota’s inconsistent play and injury issues are why they brought in Tannehill, although he’s had both of those problems throughout his career as well. The Titans might be ready to move on from their former first round pick. He certainly doesn’t appear to be getting any better.
