The number one overall draft pick and the Detroit Tigers top prospect Casey Mize made his Double-A debut on Monday with the Erie SeaWolves. The right-hander recorded a 98 pitch no-hitter.
Quite the debut for the former Auburn standout. After the game he said he felt like he was on autopilot.
“I feel great. It was definitely one of those days where it felt like autopilot.”

Mize already dominated in high A ball and now a no-hitter at the Double-A level could mean a short-lived minor league career. If he continues to dominate he could find himself in Detroit in the big boys.
