Borusso is seeking $30,000 in damages and is being represented by attorney Josh Drechsel.
“Regardless of celebrity status, no one has the right to violate the well-known safety rule of keeping your hands to yourself,” Drechsel said in a statement via The Tampa Bay Times. “It’s not right for anyone to do that, and we believe there is evidence out there that will help prove our case.”
PGA Tour regulations state that fans are allowed to bring and use mobile phones during rounds, but they’re not allowed to not interfere with players, caddies and media.
