Major League Baseball hates its own fans. First they have Angel Hernandez work the ALDS and now they have Joe West in the ALCS.
One good thing came of West working the ALCS. He ended up getting drilled by a throw to second from Red Sox catcher Christian Vasquez.
As you can see West was in perfect position and not at all in the line of fire. Also on display in the video below are his cat-like reflexes.

Unfortunately for Joe, and fortunately for the rest of us, his gravitational pull was too strong and the ball ended up hitting him in the chest.
