ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit sent shockwaves thought he college football universe when he said last month he’d be shocked if there was a 2020 season.
He’s since backtracked on that stance.

Herbstreit said during a Monday teleconference he’d spoken with several folks who made it clear they’d do everything they could to play this fall, or perhaps even start the schedule in the spring.
Later in the day Oklahoma-based sports reporter Mark Rodgers revealed he’s also spoken with people who’ve suggested they wouldn’t be surprised to hear an official announcement confirming a spring season in the coming days.
