Xavier handed St. John’s a 28 point beatdown on Thursday night during the Big East Tournament. The win led to a contentious handshake line after the game.
The loss didn’t sit well with St. John’s player Bashir Ahmed. He appeared to be looking for a fight after the game.

It was later reported that some St. John’s players were trying to get into the Xavier locker room, via The Athletic:
Big East Conference officials reviewed security tape, trying to determine if something happened “in the back of the house’’ following the conference tournament game between Xavier and St. John’s on Thursday.
Stu Jackson, the league’s senior associate commissioner, confirmed to The Fieldhouse that conference officials were trying to determine exactly what happened. A source told The Fieldhouse that St. John’s players attempted to get into the Xavier locker room.
It looks like the chippy Big East is back. Nothing like the trying to get into the other team’s locker room storyline.
