Minnesota Twins third baseman Miguel Sano has been sent to Fort Myers, their High Single A affiliate. The 25 year old, former All-Star, is hitting just .203 with seven home runs and 27 RBIs this season.
Since making the All-Star team Miguel Sano has hit .218/.289/.417, suffered a leg injury that required the permanent insertion of a titanium rod, been investigated for assault, taken widespread criticism for lack of conditioning, and gotten demoted to Single-A.
All in 11 months.

Sano has had himself an interesting 11 months. Not really what you want from a guy who looked like he was on his way to superstardom.
Has there been a faster fall? Sano has gone from 2017 All-Star to High Single A ball before the 2018 All-Star game.
This will either get his head straightened out or be the end of his time in Minnesota. The Twins are currently sitting 6 games out in the AL Central.
