One month ago, Wild entered his home event in Rio de Janeiro ranked outside of the Top 200. He won a marathon match over Alejandro Davidvich Fokina, before losing a tight three-setter to Borna Coric. The following week, the 20-year-old broke through to lift his first ATP title in Santiago, defeating Casper Ruud in the final on March 1. Using his platform, Wild encouraged the public to take the current state of affairs seriously.
A lot can change in a short amount of time.
