The Tampa Bay Rays continue to struggle to get fans to show up to home games. On Tuesday night, the second place Rays set a new record low for attendance.
Less than 6,000 fans showed up to watch Tampa Bay take on the Toronto Blue Jays.
The 5,786 is the smallest crowd ever for a #Rays game at the Trop. Previous low was 6,509 on Sept. 5, 2017 when a hurricane was in the forecast

If setting a new low in attendance with a second place team isn’t enough to start having serious talks about moving a team, I don’t know what is. It’s clear that Tampa Bay will not support a Major League Baseball team.

Building a new stadium in Tampa won’t fix things either. There’s absolutely no evidence that fans would magically fill a new ballpark. Just look at Miami.
