The NCAA has denied Louisville’s appeal and handed down punishment stemming from an investigation into a former Louisville staff member arranged for striptease dances and sex acts for players.
They will be the first Division I men’s basketball program to vacate a national title during the Final Four era.

Louisville will have to vacate its 2013 NCAA title and 2012 Final Four after the NCAA denied its appeal. They are the first D1 team to vacate a national title during the Final Four era.
They might be able to take the banner down from the rafters and the trophy out of the trophy case, but they won’t be able to remove the ink from Rick Pitino’s skin.
