To celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Sandlot, the Brew Crew hit the back fields of Maryvale to reenact their favorite scene. The Brewers apparently had some extra time on their hands at Spring Training.

The video was posted Sunday evening and quickly went viral reaching over 4,000 shares on Facebook and retweets on Twitter in the first hour.

In the two and a half minute video, Christian Yelich plays Benny, Brett Phillips portrays Smalls, Stephen Vogt depicts Ham, Eric Sogard is Squints, Hernan Perez plays Yeah-Yeah, Jeremy Jeffress is Kenny, Josh Hader portrays Bertram and Chase Anderson and Jett Bany played brothers Tommy and Timmy Timmons.

Spring Training seems like one hell of a vacation for these guys. Sure they work on the fundamentals, but how do you really prepare yourself for a 162 game schedule. That’s why baseball players have to let loose a little bit when they can. Good stuff Brew Crew!
