The Lakers announced on Friday afternoon that they have “mutually agreed to part ways” with head coach Luke Walton. In other words, Los Angeles fired him.
General Manager Rob Pelinka thanked Walton for his three years of service and wished him and his family the best.

LeBron’s overhaul of the Lakers is officially underway. He’s going to get the head coach he wants and the roster he wants this off-season.
