The Raiders decided to trade Khalil Mack to the Bears instead of ending his holdout with a new contract. They sent Mack and a draft pick to Chicago for three draft picks.
The Bears happily gave Mack an extension that made him the highest paid defensive player in NFL history. The trade didn’t seem to sit well with Raiders players.
The trade also doesn’t sit well with Madden 19. If you try to make the same deal, the trade is declined.

That’s a sign of a bad trade. If a video game knows the trade sucks you would hope your general manager would.
Instead this is how Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie described the deal.
Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie on option to trade DE Khalil Mack: "It was in the final hour that it kind of just — it hit hard and heavy. It was not a plan to trade him at all."

It sounds like he fell asleep and when he woke up a deal was done. Great job, you just traded your best defensive player and a guaranteed 10 sacks a year for draft picks, who could be hit or miss.
