“I don’t think it’s true because once you come out to the center of the ring the referee checks your gloves,” the 55-year-old former American boxer said.
“You’re being watched by the commission [in the dressing room], so you can’t get away with too much. I mean, people have got away with doing things that are really bad.
“But ever since then they’ve been very, very strict. So I don’t think that happened.
“It had to happen in his corner, if it happened. Don’t get me wrong, I watched the same video you watched and it did look awkward and it did look like his hands weren’t in the gloves like they are supposed to be.”
Fury’s cutman, Jacob ‘Stitch’ Duran, has wasted no time in slamming accusations that his gloves were tampered with for the fight.
