The Cubs didn’t look like a first place team on Wednesday night against the Mets. Not only did they lose the game 10-3, they looked bad doing so.
On one play they looked like a lot like the Bad News Bears. Pitcher Brandon Kintzler and shortstop David Bote collided trying to field a blooper that dropped in just over the mound.
Kintzler gets an A for effort, but hopefully he learned to leave the fielding and athletic plays to the infielders. Or you could end up looking like a terrible little league team.
