The Colts had Andrew Luck line up as a receiver on a 4th down and one play in the second quarter against the Dolphins. Backup Jacoby Brissett came into the game to play quarterback and threw a quick pass to Luck.
The Colts franchise quarterback caught the pass, picked up the first down and then got smoked by the defensive back. Not exactly the smartest play to run with your starting QB who missed an entire season with a shoulder injury.
Not sure why the #Colts tried this…. but it worked: Jacoby Brissett completes a pass to Andrew Luck on 4th down. Luck got popped. pic.twitter.com/qK88zPU0LI

If the Colts run this play again they might want consider having someone other than Luck’s backup throw the pass. It kind of looked like Brissett was setting him up for a big shot.
Just saying.
