The city of Portland agrees to build an MLB Stadium. The Portland Diamond Project announced on Thursday that it had signed an agreement with the Port of Portland to build the stadium.

That’s great news for baseball fans in Oregon. There’s only one problem with the plan, Portland doesn’t have an MLB team.
The move is clearly an attempt to get an expansion team or have one of the current teams that wants a new stadium to make a move.
If neither of those things happen then the city will have spent a ton of money for a stadium without a team. Money well spent.
