Thursday was the NBA’s trade deadline and no team shook up their roster like the Cleveland Cavaliers. They had an extremely busy trade deadline and pulled off three pretty big moves.
It was also a very busy day for Adrian Wojnarowski, who dropped all of these Woj bombs today. Here are all of Cleveland’s moves:
The Cavs got things started by sending Isaiah Thomas, Channing Frye, and their 2018 first round pick to the Lakers for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance.
The Cavs then got in on a three team deal with the Jazz and Kings. Cleveland acquired Rodney Hood and George Hill. Jae Crowder and Derrick Rose were sent to Utah. Sacramento ended up with Iman Shumpert, Joe Johnson, and a 2020 second round pick.
Finally the Cavs sent Dwyane Wade back to Miami for a second round pick.
All of these moves from a team that is currently sitting in third place in the Eastern Conference. GM LeBron cleaned house.
