In the video, Donnell is shown removing one Marfa football player from the group. Donnell is then seen grabbing another Marfa football player by the front of his jersey and pulling the 17-year-old to the ground. After the fight was broken up, authorities on the scene went to both team’s camera operators to see if they recorded the alleged assault. The Sanderson camera operator had no footage; however, the Marfa operator had a clear shot of the assault. Once they reviewed the video, Marfa authorities took Donnell into custody around 10:03 p.m.
Donnell is facing a Class A misdemeanor assault charge.
