Swiss soccer player Florijana Ismaili’s body has been found after she went missing following a swimming accident over the weekend. The 24-year-old jumped into Lake Como in Italy on Saturday and never resurfaced.
The captain of BSC Young Boys Frauen was found on Tuesday by divers at a depth of 670 feet. There was no word on what caused Ismaili to not resurface after jumping into the lake.
It’s an extremely unfortunate accident and very sad for her family, friends and teammates.
