The NBA suspended Devonte’ Graham for two games without pay after the San Antonio Spurs guard pleaded guilty to a charge of impaired driving, the league announced Wednesday.
His punishment will begin with the next regular-season contest he’s eligible to play.
The incident occurred in July 2022 when Graham was pulled over for driving 63 mph in a 40-mph zone. Breath tests revealed the 28-year-old was above North Carolina’s legal limit for blood alcohol concentration level.
Graham, who hails from Raleigh, was a member of the New Orleans Pelicans at the time.
The speeding charge was later dismissed as part of a deal with prosecutors, according to TMZ Sports.
San Antonio acquired Graham from the Pelicans at last season’s trade deadline. He had a solid showing down the stretch, averaging 13 points and four assists to go along with a 35.8% clip from deep over 20 appearances with the Spurs.
Graham is halfway through a four-year, $47.3-million contract.
