Although his motive may have lost in translation, Snoop Dogg said he was trying to protect Vanessa Bryant by lashing out at Gayle King.
Snoop makes that clarification on this Wednesday’s Red Table Talk.
Snoop came under fire for going after Gayle King, after he took issue with her controversial interview with.Lisa Leslie.

During that conversation, King asked Leslie about Bryant’s sexual assault case. Snoop to take to Instagram where he called King a “bitch” and appeared to threaten her, which he later apologized for. King eventually accepted his apology.
During his appearance, Jada explains to Snoop that his response to King made it feel as though he was directing his anger at every black woman.
