The Philadelphia 76ers have hired Elton Brand as their new general manager. He was promoted from his position as the team’s VP of Basketball Operations.
With the start of the NBA season just weeks away it makes sense to get this locked up.
Philadelphia has hired Elton Brand as general manager, league sources tell ESPN. Brand will be elevated from VP of Basketball Operations. He made strong impression on ownership and Brett Brown in process, beating out several inside and outside candidates.

No word on whether or not Brand or anyone in his family have burner accounts. We’re going to guess after the whole burner account fiasco with Bryan Colangelo that if he did have any he went ahead and shut them down.
As a former player he’s very familiar with the process. Which is probably why the Sixers decided to promote him
